Sharing a Message of Hope with people and a guide in its approach

to the Word of God and to the churches.

MINISTRY IN ACTION

SUMMER SCHOOL IN LOMA COVA

With the theme Knowing God, we started the first day of activities in the Dios es Grande Lutheran Church, providing support in the development of this series of activities with the children of the community of Loma Cová. During the second day, we work on the theme of God's forgiving love. Invited by Griselda Aguilar, deaconess and member of this congregation, she thanks the Project Timoteo team for the support given with the puppets of The Clan of Memo and our complementary work.

FAMILY FAIR IN CHILIBRE

LHM Panama was participating in the Family Fair held in the community of Don Bosco, located in Chilibre. With the support of a group of volunteers and Professor Melissa Montaño, from the Universidad Especializada de las Américas (UDELAS), we share the booklet Blended Families with more than one hundred people and make a presentation with the puppet theater for the children present, in whose message we encourage you to follow the advice of parents and caregivers. Also, present in this activity, the National Police with its exhibition of dissected animals, the canine police and the mobile medical care unit of the Universidad Especializada de las Américas.

PUPPET THEATER TEACHES ON PERSEVERANCE

LHM Panama made the presentation of our puppet theater at the Hospital de Especialidades Pediátricas. Through the puppets, we teach about the value of Perseverance and encourage those present to start the year with faith and hope, working hard and persevering so that their goals and purposes can be fulfilled. We talked with Mrs. Viodelda, accompanied by her daughter Sofia, who told us that she would like to use the puppets to teach, so we showed her how to do it and we were interacting with her. For the interest shown, and since she lives in the area of Arraiján, we invited her to the summer Bible school and contacted Jazmín, a member of the Dios es Grande Lutheran Church, located in the area of Loma Cová. At the end of the presentation, we distribute among adults the booklet How to Progress in your life.

STUDENTS RECEIVE ORIENTATION ON OUR PROGRAMS

Professor Melissa Montaño, coordinator of the Early Stimulation career, and students of the Universidad Especializada de las Américas (UDELAS) visited the offices of LHM Panama, in order to receive orientation on our program of visits to the Hospital de Especialidades Pediátricas. The students received a full explanation on how we developed the program that shares teachings, both to children and adults, through the puppet theater. They were oriented in the use of puppets as a way of transmitting the teachings on Christian values and themes of family and emotional strengthening; and learned to make figures with balloons. This group of students was very interested in participating as volunteers in this program, Holistic.

ACTIVITY ON VALUES IN THE COMMUNITY

In a week of teaching activities and games, we participate with the children of the Río Abajo area, who were invited to this summer activity in which we reinforced the theme of Values in Life. Our participation complements the follow-up work carried out by the Project Joel program during the school year. Project Joel gets involved in this task and moves with its entire team, so that children receive content of value for their lives, content that comes from the wisdom of the Word of God. Some parents accompanied their children.

LHM PANAMA POSTED ON PONTE EN ALGO PLATFORM

During the month of January, two news from the ministry have been published on the Ponte en Algo platform, a platform where most of the nonprofit organizations and associations in our country are promoted. One news was our Christmas tour to El Barrigón and the second, the celebration of Mother's Day at the Hospital de Especialidades Pediatricas (HEPOTH). In this platform, we managed to promote our work and be part of this valuable group of entities that work for the community, from various spaces.
